coming soon | weekly schedule | calendar | diocesan events

We have made every effort to design a schedule that is as confusing as possible.  Well, not really, but sometimes it might appear that way.  Due to the limited number of resources we have at our disposal, we have chosen to develop a rotating schedule.  While random “special events” might slip in from time to time, our basic schedule includes 5 different programs:  Sunday School, EYC, Youth Breakfast, 3 FOR ALL, and Insomnia (click on the name of the program for a detailed description).  For a calendar of which programs occur when, click on the word “calendar” under the “event” tab.  When you start to get confused, just remember that there is always something going on for youth (grades 6-12) on Sundays from 10:15am – 11:00am, and again from 4:00pm – 7:00pm.

Sunday School:

Our Sunday School classes are broken up by grade, except for the 11th and 12th graders meet together. It is a traditional setting for Sunday School with a lesson and discussion led by teachers. The curriculum that is used is called “Living the Good News” and the lessons are based on the lectionary.  All classes, except for 11th and 12th grade, meet at the Chamber (2-story building next door to the church). High school is downstairs, middle school is upstairs, and 11th and 12th grade meet in the Youth Director's office upstairs in the main church building.

EYC:

EYC meets from 4:00 – 7:00 at the Chamber (2-story building next door to the church).  This time consists of games, a lesson, discussion, application, dinner ($3), and hangout time.

3 FOR ALL:

3 FOR ALLs are from 4:00 – 7:00.  We meet in the Parish Hall for Youth Mass, break off for Sunday School, have dinner ($3), games, wrap-up and application. The curriculum for the 3 FOR ALL's is written by the priests at St. David’s and is based on the lectionary, designed to reinforce the catechism. In this way, youth are learning the fundamentals of their faith starting in 6th grade. This is a very relaxed atmosphere and youth (and adults!) are welcome to wear shorts and flip-flops. Despite the casualness of the program, we want to remind the youth that, during the youth mass time especially, please respect the fact that it is still a church service… in other words, catch up on the gossip at a later time!
