Parent Opportunities

Parent involvement is vital in any youth program, and ours is no exception!  Being a weekly Sunday School teacher might not be for everyone, but almost everyone can find a place to help from time to time.  Below are a list of ways that you can help.  Please contact Katie if you think you can fill a need!

Sunday School Teachers: The lessons and materials are picked out way in advance so you can be well prepared. We need more help in almost every grade, so please let us know if you have the heart to teach our young people
Youth Group Leaders: Sunday evenings are largely social, and relationships with adults are more important to our youth then you may realize. This responsibility is for someone who enjoys hanging out with teenagers, building relationships, playing ridiculous games, and helping out with an odd job from time to time.
Chaperones: we need help for almost every youth trip/event. Check the “coming soon” list under the Events tab for a list of things that we could use help with. In most cases, the church pays for the cost of the chaperone to participate in the event.
Meals: Teenagers are eating machines and we need all the help we can get to keep them full! If you would like to bring a small breakfast on a Sunday morning or dinner on a Sunday evening, talk to Susan Goss (770-973-9210)about available dates. We collect $3 per kid for dinners and whatever we collect we will turn over to you to help pay for the cost of the meal.
